Aiming to economically empowering and promoting the peace and harmony among the women especially widows and single mothers in the Gampaha district the Revolutionary Existence for Human Development (RED) and Institute of Social Development Kandy launch an event with join hands on 9th July 2023 at the RED office premises Katunayake Awariyawattha titling the peace garden There it was selected underprivileged 75 women from the 5 villages comes under the 3 provincial secretariat and distributed dry ration packs, and further given them the seeds and the agricultural tools with an intention of economic sustainability and eliminating the poverty There was a large gathering for the event including public officials, Free trade zone workers villages and RED members
